WILD GET HUGE SWEEP OVER HELENA, NOW 2 POINTS OUT OF 4TH

PRESS RELEASE–A stellar performance between the pipes by Alex Feese helped Gillette defeat Helena, 5-1. Gillette was led by Tristen Leberknight, who racked up one goal. Leberknight scored 18:22 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Gillette. Alex King assisted on the tally.

Gillette put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Helena to score on any of its three power plays. Gillette forced Helena goalie Adam Ranck to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Gillette also got points from Nick Stockert, who also had one goal and one assist and King, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Gillette included Cade Boreing and Riley Holwegner, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Gillette were Tyler Reble, Gennadi Zabeline, Jack Oberg, and Brett Kramer, who each chipped in one.

Helena excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Helena did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Helena averages 3.8 goals per game. Helena kept Gillette's goalie busy throughout the game, and Feese made 31 saves on 32 shots. Helena was led by Blake Babineau, who scored the team's only goal. Babineau scored 15:18 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Brandon Mills picked up the assist.
