No. 8 Pronghorns fall to No. 13 Salt Lake, play Ranger for third place

Hutchinson, Kansas– The Gillette College Pronghorn men (34-2) had a
plan to keep the Bruins of Salt Lake Community College (30-8) out of the
painted area. Unfortunately, that plan failed, as well as the
Pronghorns’ quest to the national championship game. Gillette College
lost to the Bruins, 83-47.

The Pronghorns only made 24.5 percent of their shots from the field and
were out-rebounded 48 to 33 in the game. Marqueese Grayson was the only
player for Gillette College to finish with double figures; he had 13
points in the contest.

The Bruins took Gillette College out of the game by halftime with a
45-20 lead and lead by as many as 38 points in the contest.

Despite the loss, Gillette College will have a chance to win third
place in the tournament. They take on the Ranger College Rangers,
coached by NCAA D-I coach Billy Gillispie, at 4:00pm MDT Saturday on
