WMC In Worland Plans Brief Power Outage For July 22

WORLAND, Wyo. – Due to the expansion and remodel project under way at the Washakie Medical Center, people may notice a minor change in electrical services at the hospital as workers upgrade the system. The hospital will receive power from its backup generator for approximately three hours between 5am and 8am on Friday, July 22 while the electric utility changes its service to an upgraded transformer which means lights will be dimmer, and equipment will need to be plugged in to the emergency power outlets. As the hospital is on generator power, air conditioning may be limited. Patients in the hospital at that time will continue to receive uninterrupted patient care. If anyone has any questions about the interruption of power service at the WMC, please visit with your care provider or a member of the administrative team. The Washakie Medical Center thanks everyone for their understanding as they move towards the opening of their renovated and expanded facility later this year and in 2017.
