The 2016 Truck & Tractor Pull at this year’s Washakie County Fair brought in another good crowd to the Grandstands of the Fairgrounds on Saturday night, July 30. The event again was put on by Live A Little Productions as drivers from all over the Mountain West, Northwest and West Coast participated. In the Gas Stock section William Bruckner took 1st with a pull of 286.4, Jonathan Beck placed 2nd with a pull of 274.3 and Brad Lofink finished 3rd pulling 266.7 feet. In the Workstock Diesel Division Lance Smith picked up 1st with a pull of 351.3 feet and Bret Decker was a distant 2nd with a pull of 273.7, while John Holtman was the lone participant taking 1st in the 2.5 Diesel section of the show with a pull of 369.24 feet. In the Pro Stock 4 by 4 Division of the show Jason Stene was awarded 1st with a pull of 326.4 feet, Corey Bowman grabbed 2nd with a pull of 323.5 and Fred Isaacs took 3rd with a pull of 312.6 feet, while Angelica Rasmussen was the lone participant taking 1st for the best Micro Mini with a pull of 309.2. In the Mod Mini portion of the show Karley Pistulka was 1st with a pull of 268.1, Louis Pistulka placed 2nd with a pull of 260.4 feet, while Mike Smeal came in 3rd with his Plow Jockey pulling 234.4 and finished 4th in his Ground Pounder with a pull of 233.5 feet. Best Blown Mini went to Jesslyn Fagundes with a pull of 276.1 feet, John Habib placed 2nd pulling 251.8, while Jerry Cornett was 3rd with his Working Nights Blown Mini with a pull of 250 feet and finished 4th in his Happy Days model with a pull of 185.3 feet. Best Modified 4 by 4 went to Cory Burtchett with a pull of 289.3, Chris Burtchett was a close 2nd with a pull of 286.8 and Katie Neibaur placed 3rd with a pull of 280.9 feet. Best Pro Modified Diesel 4 by 4 went to Tim McKenzie with a pull of 269.1, Josh Lanphear took 2nd with a pull of 266.3 and Jason Stott was 3rd with a pull of 260.4 feet. The Best Super Modified 2 Wheel Drive went to Danny Davis with a pull of 300.8 feet, Skyler Neibaur placed 2nd with a pull of 283.3 and Adam Tommerup was a distant 3rd with a pull of 235.7, while Jason Oswald was the only participant in the Hot Farm section of the show taking 1st with a pull of 292.1 feet and Jack Miller finished off the show as the lone entry taking 1st in the Modified Tractor Division in his Black Bart with a pull of 286 feet.
