Dual Language Immersion Informational Meeting

Written by on April 3, 2017

Press Release – Campbell County School District is asking parents of 2017-2018 kindergarten students who are interested in their child participating in the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program to call Stocktrail Elementary School before Monday, April 10, 2017. The DLI program teaches students content in Spanish for half the day and in English for the other half of the day.

The Board of Trustees recently agreed to consider expanding the DLI program so more students could participate. If the program is expanded, it will be located at Rawhide Elementary, 200 Prospector Parkway, Gillette, Wyoming. If the number of interested students exceeds available slots, not all that have expressed interest will be enrolled but could be added to a wait list.

There will be an informational meeting hosted by Dr. Keri Shannon (Stocktrail Principal) and Mr. Bertine Bahige (Rawhide Principal) on Tuesday, April 4th, 6:00 p.m. at Stocktrail Elementary, 800 Stocktrail Avenue. If you would like to sign up your child for the possible expansion of the DLI program or if you have questions, please attend the Tuesday meeting or call Ms. Michael Lunberg at Stocktrail Elementary School at 307.686.6215.
