Library Announces Graphic Novel Character Contest Winners

Press Release – The Library Foundation Inc. (LFI) is pleased to announce winners of the 7th Annual Library Foundation Graphic Novel Character Contest.

This contest began in 2012 as a way to promote Campbell County Public Library’s new-at-the-time adult graphic novel collection. A record-setting, fifty-one entries were submitted in this year’s contest; twenty-eight in the grades 1-6 category, 8 in the grades 7-12, five 18 and older, three computer generated, and an additional seven that weren’t judged due to copyright issues. Entries were judged by CCPL staff and awarded based on a point system. This year’s overall winner came from the grades 1-6 category and was awarded $50 in Gold Bucks thanks to The Library Foundation. All entries are on display in the atrium at your library in Gillette – stop by and check them out!
