Gillette Camels Sports
The Camels football team gave it everything they had on Friday night and come up and extra point shorts of the state title game. The camels were at Cheyenne East for the semi-finals as they lost in double overtime 35-34 to finish the season at 5-5. It was a great season and and the Camels and the fans can be proud of this football team. Camels and Lady Camels basketball will begin Saturday 12/1 as Green River will be in town for a doubleheader with the girls at 1:30PM and the boys game at 3:15PM. Wyoming Cowboys Football
The Wyoming Cowboys football team had a comfortable 21-0 lead at San Diego State Saturday night only to see the Aztecs come back and win 27-24. The Pokes are now 5-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Next up the Cowboys will be at Utah Saturday at 1:30PM, with the pre-game slated for 12:30PM on Sports/talk 1270 KIML.
The Pokes basketball team opened their season on Saturday afternoon in Laramie with an 88-62 exhibition win over Regis University. Next up is and exhibition Tuesday night in Laramie with CSU-Pueblo at 7:00PM and the regular season opens Saturday night as they host Colorado-Colorado springs at 7:00PM with that game on Sports/talk 1270 KIML starting at 6:30PM with the pre-game.
The Cowgirls opened the season on Friday night with an exhibition win over Chadron State 94-47. The Cowgirls will have one more exhibition Wednesday night in Laramie with CSU-Pueblo at 7:00pm before opening the regular season Friday night at home with the Idaho State Bengals at 7:00PM, pre-game on Sports/talk 1270 KIML set for 6:45PM
