Beck, Adamson Claim State Rodeo Titles

Gillette High School Rodeo Club members Casey Beck and Linzee Adamson both captured Wyoming High School Rodeo Association state championships, Saturday, at the State Finals Rodeo in Douglas.

Beck took first in the Boys Cutting competition, with 222.25 points. Gillette’s Trase Johnson was third in the same event, with 199.5 points.

Adamson placed first in the Barrel Racing, with 212 points.

Adamson, Beck and Johnson all qualified for Nationals, July 13-15 in Rock Springs, along with Kade Greer, who was second in Steer Wrestling, with 207 points, and Courtney Reynolds, who was fourth in Girls Cutting with 179.75 points.

Beck, Greer, and Adamson were Average Buckle winners in their respective events.
