Carter-King Will Seek Mayor's Office

Council Member Louise Carter-King has announced she will seek election for Gillette Mayor. She was elected to represent Ward One on the City Council in November, 2006. She also served on the council from 1991 to 2002.

The local business owner points to Gillette College as a “jewel” in our community that she wants to see continue to grow and be given support. Carter-King said she is very happy with the current direction of the city, saying the growth and infrastructure improvements have made Gillette the envy of the state. And she describes the current city staff as the best she has ever seen.
