According to a new study, the less we sleep, the faster our brains shrink.Researchers found that people who suffer from poor sleep quality also suffer from faster-than-average decreases in the size of their frontal, temporal, and parietal lobes. That’s a lot of gray matter going to waste. And the people dealing with this are dealing with relatively normal sleep problems like having trouble falling asleep, waking up during the night, and waking up too early.

A true bulldog love story

Like many dog lovers, the humans who own a bulldog named Igor dreaded leaving him at a kennel, but unlike many dog lovers, they made him feel at home by building an exact replica of their living room at the local dog pen.According to the Daily Mail, the apparently well-heeled Norwegian family was gearing up to travel to Thailand on vacation, but were anxious as Igor has never stayed in a kennel, so they funded a radical idea. They built an exact copy of their living room -- complete with lamps, pillows, paint and furniture with which Igor is familiar -- to keep their pooch happy in their absence.Given Igor's reaction on video, the well-intentioned ruse worked.

In 1953, C.A. Swanson & Sons introduced a new product called, “TV Dinners,” and changed the prepackaged meal industry forever. The Smithsonian Institute inducted the original Swanson TV Dinner tray into the Museum of American History in 1986. Today we celebrate this piece of American cultural history with TV Dinner Day!The term “TV Dinner” is now synonymous with any prepackaged, frozen meal that requires little preparation and contains an entire single-serving meal. Modern-day TV dinners can be cooked in the microwave (instead of the oven) and include gourmet recipes as well as organic and vegetarian dishes. Want to celebrate TV Dinner Day? Stop by your local supermarket and pick up some old-fashioned TV dinners for your family!
What was your favorite tv dinner?
