Kelley, Fort Shine In Post-Season All-Star Games

Some recent graduates of Campbell County High School turned in some impressive performances over the weekend.

Cody Kelley led the Wyoming All-Stars in two basketball games against Montana, Friday and Saturday, while Austin Fort was named offensive MVP of Saturday’s Shrine Bowl football game.

Kelley scored 22 points to lead the Wyoming all-stars in a 105-103 loss to Montana, on Friday. His Camel teammate, Seth Moerkerke chipped in 13.

In Saturday’s basketball game, Kelley had 24 points, and Moerkerke scored 10, in a 93-85 loss to Montana.

Gillette’s Julia Seamans scored eight and 12 points, respectively, in Friday and Saturday’s Girls All-Star Games. The Montana girls won Friday’s game, 57-55, but the Wyoming girls bounced back to win Saturday’s game, 81-75 in overtime.

In Saturday afternoon’s Shrine Bowl, Fort, who will play quarterback on the Wyoming Cowboy football team, this fall, connected on eight of his fifteen passes, for 103 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 69 yards. One of his passes went for 47 yards, as the North squad beat the South squad, 41-13.

Former Camel teammate Kris Adams was on the receiving end of Fort’s 14 yard TD pass. Gillette Coach Vic Wilkerson was the coach of the North team, which also included Gillette’s Billy Williams and Bryce Lyman.
