“I was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, and graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado with a Degree in Graphic Design in 2007. I have been an artist ever since I could hold a crayon. My art can be seen worldwide in many mediums including bicycles, custom toys, and custom airbrush work. I do work nationally and internationally with several companies including Sailor Jerry Rum and Concept Bakery in Cologne, Germany. I have had the honor of getting to paint on stage with rock and roll Hall of Fame inductees, Public Enemy, and continue to paint with legends of Hip Hop for the Sankofa Lecture series and speak at many colleges around Denver. GirrKendama is a custom toy company in which I am part owner; we ship custom toys worldwide. We were recently featured in the world’s largest toy show in Germany and are also featured in many events in the States as well. I work with many schools and programs for at-risk youth using my art as a medium to reach them and get them interested in positive activities and off the streets. We have done huge mural projects with all ages, some taking up to 7 months to complete in schools and businesses here in Denver. I currently am
doing many custom pieces and working with galleries here to showcase some of the talented youth I work with and get them exposed to the art scene! I LOVE art and I love the doors and opportunities it has opened for me. I truly feel it's my life's work to teach and spread art to the next generation of
creative minds.” ~ Patrick McGirr
