The Gillette Roughriders got off to a rough start, Friday, at the Billings Tournament, as Gillette fell, 17-1, to the Billings Royals.
The Riders bounced back, Saturday afternoon, with a 9-1 victory over Dickinson, North Dakota. Wyatt Estabrook got the win on the mound, as he struck out five batters, over five innings, and allowed one hit and one earned run.
Lucas Rissler was 3-for-3, with a double and two RBIs, for Gillette.
Gillette got two hits and one RBI from both Jarran Arbach and Drayson Hladky.
The Riders were beaten, 6-1, Saturday evening, by Idaho Falls.
They bounced back again, last night, with a 12-2 win over Copper, Colorado. Gillette scored 10 of its runs in the top of the third inning, sparked by a two-run single from Tyler Tennant.
Rissler was 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Drayson Hladky was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.
The Riders are now 31-15, and face Pocatello, Idaho, in the final day of the tournament, this afternoon at 2 p.m.
