Skate Park Naming Competition

Gillette, WY– June 17, 2014 –  As the “dog days” of summer are rapidly approaching many Campbell County skaters – young and old alike – are anxiously waiting to test out the slopes, curves  and rails of the new skate park located on 4-J Road.  Construction crews are anticipating the skate park will be completed and ready for use by the end of June.

In preparation of the grand opening Campbell County Commissioners are asking for your help and they are prepared to offer a handsome reward.  The foundation has been dug, the rebar has been laid and the cement is being poured, but a name for the skate park has not yet been picked.  This is where the citizens of Campbell County can help.  The Commissioners are hosting a Skate Park Naming Competition.  The winner of the competition will have the pleasure of seeing their selected name memorialized for many years to come on the skate park’s sign.  But wait, it gets even better, the winner will also receive a brand new skate board.

To submit your bodacious suggestions, please go to http://www.ccgov.net/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=102
and click on the Skate Park Naming Contest link, complete the form and submit.  You can also find our Facebook page at Campbell County Local Government and click on the Event tab to access the form, or pick up a form at the Commissioners Office.  The winner of the contest will be revealed during the grand opening.  For updates regarding the skate park and the naming contest, and grand opening date and festivities, please follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/campbellcountywyoming.
