Three Arrested After Prostitution Dispute

May 27th, 2014 – 7:44 am - The Gillette Police Department responded to a hotel in Gillette. A 23-year-old female reported that a 44-year-old male was outside her room harassing her. The man told police that the female had been introducing his 24-year-old girlfriend to prostitution. The man said he was there to remove his girlfriend from the situation. The girlfriend told police that she wanted to leave town with the 23-year-old female but the man would not return her birth certificate or social security card.

 

Lieutenant Brent Wasson said the man told police the woman's identity information was in a lock box at a bank. The man consented to a search of his vehicle. The items were not found, but police did locate less than a quarter gram of methamphetamine. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Wasson said both woman weee arrested after they admitted to prostitution. The 23-year-old also faces a charge of promoting prostitution.
