Triples galore for Camels in win against Laramie

GILLETTE, Wyo.--The Gillette Camels scored 15 three-pointers in the 87-71 victory over Laramie Plainsmen Saturday afternoon at the North Campus.

Cale Miessler had six triples in the game and 13 on the weekend. Cody Kelley led the Camels with 23 points.

The entire first half was close, with the Camels holding a 26-25 lead after the first quarter. Gillette held on to a 43-40 lead at halftime.

Saturday's game was very similar to Friday night's game. Gillette had a lead at the end of a close, hard-fought first half. However, in the second half, Gillette ran away from Laramie. The Plainsmen were held to eight points in the third quarter, while the Camels scored 25 points.

Eli Voigt of the Camels shined in the second half. He averaged 4.4 points coming into the game, but scored 11 points in Saturday's contest. Seth Moerkerke and Bryce Lyman, both who played their first games games Friday night after injuries, contributed with four points each in the game on Saturday.

Drew Burman led the Plainsmen with 21 points in the loss.
