Madison Water Project is last bill to be signed by Freudenthal

Governor Dave Freudenthal signed the Gillette Madison Water Project Bill earlier today. Mayor Duane Evenson and City Administrator Mike Muirhead were present for the bill signing ceremony, which is the last bill Governor Freudenthal signed as Governor.

Last November the Campbell County Commissioners made what they called a tough decision when they dissolved county boards such as the Fair Board and Library Board.  When the commissioners have their retreat on March 23, this decision will have to be revisited.

4A State Basketball Recap

The 4A State basketball tournament wrapped up over the weekend in Casper and it didn’t turn out the way Gillette had envisioned. The previously undefeated Camels dropped the championship game to a very physical Natrona team 55-47. Meanwhile the Lady Camels close out their season with a very impressive victory over Sheridan 63-50 in the girls 4A 3rd place championship.

The undefeated and #1 ranked Gillette Camels advanced to the 2010 Wyoming High School 4A State Championship Game with a very impressive 64-51 over Evanston. Kameron Hunter led the way scoring a career high 20 points, including 16 1st half points.

 
Gillette crime down in nearly every category, according to report

Camels and Lady Camels Win At State!

Well both Gillette basketball teams came away victorious during the 1st day of the 2010 Wyoming High School State Tournament. The Lady Camels opened up the tournament with a very impressive victory over the #1 seed from the west, Natrona 63-44.
