The Campbell County Sheriff’s race continues with its unique twist and turns after a traffic stop along the 2100 block of Echeta Road yesterday.

“We issued citations for larceny” explained Chuck Deaton, City of Gillette Police Sergeant.  “Their vehicle was stopped due to its involvement in a separate case.  When the officer approached the vehicle he saw eight Pownall for Sheriff signs in the backseat.  The two males took the signs from yards in the Sage Bluffs area.”

Two 18-year old males were cited for taking the signs.  Details on the separate case that initiated the traffic stop were not immediately available.
