Landfill tipping fees will go up

The Campbell County Commissioners voted 5-0 to increase the landfill tipping fee from $60 per ton to $75 per ton over the next couple of years. UW students from Newcastle, Buffalo use satellite images to monitor state resources

Hospital purchases old Rec Center

The Campbell County Board of Commissions accepted Campbell County Memorial Hospital’s counteroffer to purchase the old Rec Center site along South Douglas Highway for the amount of $2 million during Tuesday morning’s commissioners meeting.

Landfill fees may go up 25 percent
