At about 11:30 p.m. last night, the City of Gillette Police Department responded a loud noise complain on the 3900 block of Federal Way. Officers made contact with a 19-year old female.
“Officers spoke with her and she identified there were approximately 10 underage persons in the house that had been consuming alcohol,” explained City of Gillette Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson. “Officers tried to make contact at the residence but no one would answer the door.”
Detectives then obtained a search warrant, and the end result was the issuance of six citations for minors under the influence of alcohol.
“And the 20-year old resident of that house was arrested for endangering the welfare of minors,” Wasson said.
Wasson says party providing is something the department takes seriously when it comes to minors under the influence of alcohol. It doesn’t matter what your age is, you’re breaking the law if you allow minors to consume alcohol at your residence.
