A 35-year old Gillette man was arrested Thursday for felony aggravated assault after he allegedly threw a knife at another person inside a home on Independence Drive.
“Prior to officer’s arrival, that 35-year old man had thrown a knife towards a 54-year old male in the residence,” explains Gillette Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson.
Wasson says the incident stemmed from a family fight around 4:00 p.m.
After throwing the knife, police say the suspect fled two blocks before police found him.
According to Wasson the suspect resisted arrest and police had to deploy a Taser to bring the man into custody.
