A.J. Crowley, age 88, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Monday, May 14, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Thelma Record will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, with Darryl Lynde officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Mrs. Record, age 91, of Gillette Memorial Chapel passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Transitional Care Unit in Pioneer Manor.

Funeral services for Doris Sherburne, of Gillette, formerly of Kadoka, S.D. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May16, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette with Pastor Joel Wright officiating.  Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home.


Mrs. Sherburne, age 92, passed away at the Pioneer Manor on Sunday, May 13, 2012.

Susan Paddock, age 35, of Wright, Wyoming died on Friday, May 4, 2012 at her home. Gillette Memorial Chapel was entrusted with local arrangements. Susan will have funeral services in Bountiful, Utah later this week.

Nora Louise Robinson, known to her friends and family as Louise or Ma, was born on August 10, 1928 in Angus, Texas.  She went into Christ's Arms to be with her father, J.E. Gill, her mother, Rosie (Mackey) Gill and four brothers and younger sister on May 6, 2012 in Gillette, Wyoming.  Ma had many joys in life: going for walks, sightseeing - any and all nature, playing games with her great- grandson and other local children.

A memorial service for Alberta R. Mason will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2012 at the Walker Funeral Home with Bishop Clark Melinkovich presiding.  Another service will be held in Morrisville, VT at a later date.


Alberta, age 60 passed away at her home in Gillette on Sunday, April 29, 2012 of health related issues.

Carla Livingston age 60, of Sundance, WY passed away April 29, 2012 at Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette, WY.  Arrangements are pending at Walker Funeral Home.

Sherry Lynne Mowery, age 50, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her home in Gillette of unknown causes.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel, with Kenna Lou Rose officiating. 


Sherry Mowery was born January 13, 1962 in Basin, Wyoming to Melvin and Betty (Hallcroft) Winterholler.  She attended Basin schools and graduated from Basin High School in 1980.  After graduation she lived in Jackson and Portland, Oregon, before moving to Gillette in 2003.  Most of her time was devoted to raising her children.  She enjoyed reading, especially about Amish culture, listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline and cooking.  She was a cat lover and owner of two.

Graveside service for William "Bud" Edward Swain were held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Gene Hanson officiating. Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Post #42.


Bud Swain, age 85, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service for Lawrence Bruski will be held 2:00p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home, Gillette, Wyoming with Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthews Catholic Church officiating.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled later at St. Philip's Cemetery in Wibaux County, Montana.


Lawrence Joseph Bruski, age 64, of Gillette, Wyoming died of natural causes Friday April 27, 2012 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.

Connie Carol Butler passed away April 26, 2012 at the Close to Home Hospice House in Gillette, Wyoming after fighting a courageous battle against lung cancer.

Dana Ronald Dillon, age 86, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Primrose Assisted Living.


Dana Dillon was born on March 15, 1926 the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Doane) Dillon in Marblehead, Massachusetts.  Dana attended several schools on the east coast due to his father being in the United states Marine Corp. As a youngster he had a passion for the Merchant Marines and his dream of going to sea came true. While Dana was in the Merchant Marines he traveled all over the world supporting the war efforts during WWII. At the age of 25 Dana became the youngest Captain with the Merchant Marines.

Delores, age 77 passed away at the Close to Home Hospice House on April 20, 2012 in Gillette, WY of natural causes.

Jack K. Nisselius, longtime editor and publisher of the News-Record, died Thursday morning, April l9, 2012 at the Close to Home Hospice and Hospitality House. He was 91.

Marcella Rokowski, age 72, took her final trip April 14, 2012.  She was surrounded by close family when she slipped away from natural causes.

Mass of Christian Burial for Pedro Gonzalez-Ochoa of Gillette will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 17, at the St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Tuesday morning at the church. Gillette Memorial Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
