SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - A trailer detached from a logging truck and crashed into the wall of the Spearfish Walmart, but no one was hurt.

The Black Hills Pioneer reports that the fully loaded pup trailer came loose from a truck that was traveling west on Interstate 90 near Exit 14 early Friday morning.


It plowed through a fence and landscaping before crashing into the southeast side of the building.


Store officials evacuated the building, and power was shut off to prevent potential ignition from electrical sparks.


Store manager Tom Jones says one log hit a beer delivery truck, but the bulk of the load impacted with the building and severed a main gas line.


The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
