At the 4A East Conference golf tournament in Casper both Kelly Walsh golf teams won the conference championships as the Trojans ended the Sheridan Broncs 35 tournament win streak as they won by just one stroke 634 to 635.

Last weekend, the Gillette Edge Soccer Club traveled to Billings to participate in the Magic City Classic Soccer tournament. It was a great tournament as always and the weather was a factor in all play with the rain and wind for the teams to battle against.

Peak Wrestlers Warren Carr, Trevor Jeffries, Taylor Jeffries, and Trent Olson earned the title of 2012 Triple Crown Champions after winning state championships in folkstyle, Greco, and freestyle.

This past weekend in Casper at the Wyoming State Greco and Freestyle Wrestling Tournament, the Touch of Gold wrestlers crowned two state champions as Lane Catlin won in Greco while coming in second in freestyle and Logan Wagoner won in freestyle and came in second in Greco.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A potential conflict between Wyoming state high school basketball championships and junior college basketball regional playoffs in Casper has been resolved for now.

Last weekend was a beautiful weekend for soccer in Casper, WY. The Gillette Edge Soccer club sent several teams to compete in the annual Casper Jamboree soccer tournament. This is a great opening tournament for the spring season. The Edge also finished their league play while down there on Sunday.

Only three Peak wrestlers competed in the Sarah Tolin Invite in Casper this weekend.

Three athletes from the Gillette Camels and one from the Wright Panthers were selected to play in the Wyoming-South Dakota Basketball All-Star Series in June.

The Touch of Gold wrestlers competed in the Casey Uhlich Memorial Tournament last Friday in Douglas and Jeric Igo came in first place in both Greco and freestyle.

Earlier this week two student athletes from Wright High School announced that they would be playing volleyball at the collegiate level. Kaylin Edwards will be taking her talents to Sheridan College and Chambrie Lawrence will be going to Western Community College in Rock Springs.

Cody Anderson of Gillette and Timmy Benedict of Wright will represent the Wyoming All-Stars in their annual battle against Montana this summer.

Six Peak Wrestlers competed in the Casey Uhlich Memorial Greco and Freestyle wrestling tournament in Douglas Appril 13 and 14.

The Gillette Girls Fastpitch Association (GGFA) will get a start to their season on April 21 and 22 at the Spring Stampede Fastpitch Tournament in Northern Colorado.
