Pronghorns get much-needed win against Rustlers

Pronghorn Women defeat Lady Rustlers in hard fought game

Edwards and Hunter Score 20-Plus Against Rams

James Hunter shot 10-for-13 from the floor and 5-of-8 from the charity stripe for a career-high 25 points Wednesday against the Rams.  BRN photo by Nathan Kobielusz.It was a great night for Pronghorns center James Hunter, as he scored his junior college high of 25 points Wednesday night at the South Campus. Hunter and George Edwards, who had the game high of 28 points, led the Pronghorns to a 108-65 victory over Little Big Horn College (LBHC).

Pronghorn Women Have No Problem Against Lady Rams

Alex Ward led the Pronghorns with 15 points Wednesday against the Lady Rams. Four Pronghorns finished with double digits in the 90-50 victory.

Fouls Costly As Pronghorn Men Lose To Western

Despite a stellar performance by George Edwards, who led the Pronghorns with a game-high 25 points, Gillette College fell to the Mustangs 81-75 Saturday night.  BRN photo by Nathan Kobielusz.The Pronghorn men (14-10, 5-6) couldn’t hold on to a three-point halftime lead, as Western Wyoming Community College (19-6, 7-5) made 16 of its 21 attempts from the charity stripe in the second half. The Mustangs were victorious in the 81-75 contest.

‘Bottom Drops Out’ On Offense; Pronghorn Women Fall to Western

Wright and Greer Finish With Double-Double in Win Over Miles

KeKe Wright  finished with a double-double Wednesday as she led the Pronghorns with 22 points and 11 rebounds. BRN photo by Nathan Kobielusz.KeKe Wright and Iesha Greer both had a great game Wednesday night, as they both finished with double-doubles. Wright led the Pronghorns (15-9, 7-3) with 22 points and 11 boards. Greer scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Add Kim Caywood's 11 rebounds and Gillette College had more boards from three players, than the whole team from Miles Community College (17-7, 5-5) in the 62-55 victory for the Pronghorns.

Edwards Has Double-Double as Pronghorns End Losing Skid

She led the Pronghorns (14-9, 6-3) to a 56-31 win over Dawson Community College (3-14, 2-8) on Saturday night.

Pronghorn women fall to Sheridan

KeKe Wright led the Pronghorn women with 16 points in their loss Saturday night against Sheridan.  BRN photo by Nathan Kobielusz.The Gillette College (12-9, 5-3) women played pretty well on defense, according to Head Coach Will Rider, but the offense struggled at key places in the game against Sheridan (19-2, 7-1). The Lady Generals came away with the win, 75-61.

The final was 94-82.

Total Team Effort by Pronghorns Defeats Trapper Women

Alex Ward stepped up after the Pronghorn’s leading scorer was benched in the first half following two early fouls.  Ward tied Elisha Hensey for a team-high 14 points Wednesday night.  BRN photo by Nathan Kobielusz.When your leading scorer is benched three minutes into the game due to committing two fouls, one could come to the conclusion that it was an ugly night for the Pronghorn Women (12-8, 5-2). Instead, it opened up plenty of opportunities for the Gillette College squad to validate they can work as a team to get the win. They did just that, defeating the Trapper Women (10-10, 2-5), 78-68.
