The Gillette College Pronghorns women's (16-10, 8-4) team took care of Little Big Horn College's (LBHC) Lady Rams on Wednesday night at the South Campus. Four Pronghorns finished with double digits in the 90-50 victory.
Alex Ward led the Pronghorns with 15 points, as KeKe Wright finished with another double-double on the season. This time Wright had 14 points and 13 boards. Jordan Scott-Benson and Kim Caywood finished with 13 points each, also.
The Pronghorns committed only 12 fouls in the game, half as many as LBHC and forced 36 turnovers on the Lady Rams.
Gillette College shot 50.7 percent from the floor and made 5 treys-all of them in the second half. LBHC had a better percentage from the free throw line, but Gillette made 17 points from the charity stripe. LBHC was six for 11 from the line.
Ronnea Gramling for LBHC had the game high of 17 points.
With the win, Gillette College stays tied for third place with Western Wyoming Community College in Region IX. The Pronghorns have four Region IX games left. Two are on the road against first place Casper College and sixth place Northwest College. Those road games are book ended by home games against Central Wyoming College and second place Sheridan College.
