Friday night at Roughrider Stadium Gillette was supposed to play a doubleheader with Spearfish, but due to a steady rain they were only able to play one game which ended in a 9-4 win for the Riders when the game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Miles City Pioneers (36-15-1) continue to have a great season after winning the Region IX Tournament in Glendive, MT last weekend with wins over Southeast Community College (3-1 and 8-4) and Dawson Community College (5-1, 12-6). This is the 7th straight season that Miles Community College (MCC) has won their respective region tournament.

For the second time in the last week the Gillette Roughriders defeated Rapid City Post 22 6-3 thanks to a 3-run ninth inning for the Riders on Wednesday night in Rapid City at McKeague Field.
Billings Wins 3 Game Set From Gillette

In the final game of their three game set with the Billings Scarlets, the Gillette American Legion baseball team lost 15-4. The game was close through three innings with the Riders trailing just 4-2 after Andrew Youngs and Tanner Rogen reached base on back-to-back singles in the bottom of the third before Drake Kelly singled to drive in Youngs for his fifth RBI of the weekend. Before the inning was over, Westin Hinkel singled to bring home Rogen.
Gillette Earns Split with Billings

The Gillette Roughriders American Legion baseball team split their Saturday doubleheader with the Billings Scarlets as both teams earned blowout victories on a perfect weather day for baseball. In game 1 the Roughriders made the Scarlets look like the much better team in their 16-4 loss, but then in game 2 Gillette proved that was a fluke with a their 13-6 win to improve to 15-5 on the season while the Scarlets dropped to 4-3.
Gillette Finally Takes Down Post 22

Friday night at Roughrider Stadium the Gillette Roughriders (14-4) beat Rapid City Post 22 (2-3) 7-2 for the first time in nearly three years behind Drake Kelley, who went 2-3 in his first game of the season.
Former Roughrider, Tucker Young, named to Mon/Dak All-Conference

In his first season playing baseball for Miles Community College, former Gillette Roughrider standout Tucker Young was named to the Mon/Dak All-Conference team along with six of his teammates: Zach Robinson, Dylan Lafrentz, Skyler Smith, Trevor Johnson and Dakota Murdoch.

On a pristine night in northeast Wyoming the Gillette American Legion baseball team put forth a total team effort in their 9-4 win over Miles City, MT (8-12) who dropped their sixth straight game. Wyatt Estabrook picked up his second win in the last six days as he threw 4 solid innings while scattering 7 hits and striking out 6 while allowing just 2 runs. Offensively, the Riders were led by Matt Fogle as he went 3-5 with an RBI while lead off man Dalton McCann drove in 3 runs.

The Gillette Roughriders American Legion baseball team continued their early season dominance of South Dakota teams last night at Roughrider Stadium as they took down Rapid City Stevens 8-4 to remain perfect against teams from South Dakota this season.

The Gillette Roughriders went into the second of three Snowball Series in Casper coming off a dominating 15-1 victory over Rapid City Stevens and an unblemished record of 3-0. However, that record ended up with some blemishes after the weekend was all said and done.

After missing out on the first of three Snowball series last weekend because of weather, the Gillette Roughriders traveled to South Dakota yesterday and played like they hadn’t been out of game action for eight days as they dominated Rapid City Stevens 15-1.
Roughriders Open Up Season with Wins

The Gillette Roughriders opened up their season yesterday at home as they swept their doubleheader with Rapid City Central. Gillette has now won six consecutive season openers going back to 2006 when they lost to Cheyenne Post 6 to open the season.
