WHITE MAN BEATEN FOR LISTENING TO RAP MUSIC Hip-hop music was at the center of an ugly incident that took place in Florida earlier this week. "Florida Today" is reporting that a 22-year-old white male was walking down the street listening to rap music on Monday when he encountered a group of teens. A 14-year-old reportedly told the man to stop listening to the music because, quote, "white people shouldn't listen to rap music." The man responded, saying he could listen to "any kind of music he liked." |

COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS JIMMY WAYNE COMPLETING WALK FROM NASHVILLE TO PHOENIX THIS WEEKEND Jimmy Wayne will soon wrap up what he's calling "one of the most challenging" and "rewarding experiences" of his life. He'll be arriving in Phoenix this weekend to complete his Meet Me Halfway walk. The singer's journey has taken him halfway across the U.S., and taken more than half the year to complete. He set out from Nashville on January 1st, and over the past seven months he's hoofed it through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico on his way to Arizona to raise money and awareness for homeless youth. It's an issue close to the 37-year-old country star. |
