Press Release - Testing completed Oct 2nd by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed a rare case of rabies in a Fremont County woman, according to the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH).

Evening asphalt paving activities scheduled to begin during the week of October 4, 2015 in the Wyoming 789/17 Mile Road intersection south of Riverton will force the contractor to close access to 17 Mile Road.

This past Monday (Sep. 28) and Tuesday the Travel, Recreation, Wildlife and Cultural Resources Board met in Jackson to discuss several potential new laws.

One of those discusses was a ban on collecting shed antlers between January and April east of the Continental Divide in Wyoming. There is already a ban west of the Divide. The plan is in place to prevent those who are gathering shed antlers
