Campbell County School District is proud to announce that Liz Crislip has been named by the Wyoming Education Association (WEA) to its highest honor. Liz was chosen as the 2014 WEA Education Support Professional of the Year. Liz is a para-educator at Cottonwood Elementary in Wright. The WEA recognizes that it takes everyone in our schools to provide the best education possible for all children.

Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a burglary that occurred to a storage unit located at 3900 E Collins Road between August 2014 and October 2014. The Bighorn National Forest will be conducting prescribed burns in the Skull Ridge area of the Bighorns, which is about four miles northeast of Burgess Junction. About 400 acres are scheduled to be burned, weather and fuel conditions permitting. Smoke may be visible from Sheridan during the burns today and tomorrow.

Ebola has been on a lot of our minds as of late, but the good news is simply this, it has not reached Northeastern Wyoming yet, and at this time, it appears the chances of the virus coming to our area are still very low. That being said, Sheridan Memorial Hospital is taking no chances, and has been keeping up to date on safety protocols. Ebola was a topic at Wednesday's Board of Trustees meeting. On Wednesday the 29th, Big Horn Mountain Radio Network hosted a debate between Mayor Candidate Mike Johnson and current Mayor up for re-election Randy Dyess with Station Manager Mark Bentley.  The two were questioned by Big Horn Mountain Radio Networks own Justin Wolffing and Buffalo Bulletin Reporter Andy Kerstetter.

Just before three o'clock Wednesday afternoon a grass fire was reported on mile marker 284 just south of Buffalo on I-25. The fire was caused when a pick-up truck heading north on I-25 lost a u-joint which tumbled into the grass and caused the ignition. Eleven fire fighters from the Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.
