On September 26th, a vehicle crash was reported around 3 pm near the Acme exit off Interstate 90. First responders made it to the scene but noticed nobody was in the vehicle, which at the time was on its top after rolling. A few moments later, a man suspected of stealing the vehicle was spotted taking another vehicle from the Kleenburn area. What resulted following the second theft was a high speed chase that ultimately ended on Soldier Creek Road west of Sheridan. Micah Lacunza was subsequently arrested and bond was set at $50,000.

43-year-old Douglas Edwards of Thermopolis was found guilty by a six member jury in Park County Circuit Court on Friday, October 24 for failure to tag a big game animal, waste of edible portions of meat and interference with lawful duties of a peace officer.
