A single vehicle rollover crash on November 23rd led to the death of 22 year old Derrick L. Simmons of Wright, Wyoming. The crash occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. at mile post 80.50 on WY 59 five miles north of Wright.

Gillette College’s class of 2014 nursing graduates passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses at 95.9 percent, said Louise Posten, Director of Nursing.

The average pass rate for the state of Wyoming is 82.7 percent, and the national average is 82.86 percent, said Posten, who oversees the hands-on nursing program for the Northern Wyoming Community College

Emergency Management of Johnson County has discussed the possibility of using the large gym in Bomber Mountain Civic Center as a shelter in case of emergencies. Marilyn Connolly, Emergency Management Coordinator for Johnson County says the building would be perfect because it has everything they need.

On Wednesday of last week, November 19th, the Wyoming Game and Fish reported that a mule deer was illegally taken in eastern Johnson County on Schoonover Road. The road lies about one mile west of Powder River. Buffalo Game Warden Jim Seeman investigated the site and found entrails of the animal. He also noted that a vehicle was observed at the scene were the deer was killed.
