March 27th, 2014 – A 46-year-old male was given a citation for reckless endangerment, after the beam from a laser pointer struck a police officer in his eyes twice. March 26th - At 9:23 p.m. officers with the Gillette Police Department responded to the 600 block of E Second Street. Lieutenant Chuck Deaton said they were investigating an online post of escort services. A 52-year-old male was contacted leaving a hotel room. Deaton said the man was cited after admitting to paying for a prostitute. A 26-year-old woman was contacted at the hotel room. Deaton said

About 1,800 acres of prescribed burns are scheduled to take place as early as April in the Medicine Wheel/Paintrock Ranger Districts of the Bighorn National Forest, according to a media release. The burns are planned for the Beaver Creek Area near Hunt Mountain, as well as Mathews Ridge northeast of Hyattville. In addition to this burn, 1,500 acres are planned in the Prospect Creek area near Granite Pass and Schuler Park, northwest of Burgess Junction. This is part of the Tongue Ranger District. Read more

Charges were filed yesterday in Park County against three suspects in connection with the murder of Juan Antonio Guerra-Torrest whose decapitated body was found on January 9, 2014 on Little Sand Coulee Road, near Clark.

Can a whole town be a TV star? Of course it can! Film and TV productions have come to Sheridan numerous times, including major motion pictures. While not a major motion picture, a television pilot was being shot in town for the past several days and its producer is none other than the daughter of Senator Dave Kinskey, Becca Kinskey.
