At last night’s Gillette City Council Workshop the council had the third reading of an ordinance to amend the Gillette City Code concerning eligibility requirements for discounted utility service for income eligible seniors and disabled persons.  The action passed on its third and final reading. Press Release: On August 10, 1983, the body of an unidentified female homicide victim was discovered in the state gravel pit on North Highway 59 by state highway department employees. 

The female’s remains were sent to the Wyoming State Crime Lab, where it was estimated that the female’s death had occurred approximately one year prior to the discovery of her body.

A family of southern vacationers got a rude awakening yesterday morning along the North Fork Highway. Around 11 o'clock a suburban carrying eight passengers was rear-ended by a sedan as it waited to make a left hand turn into the parking lot of North Fork's Red Barn.
