Press Release – Alex Richard Ascherin, a Wyoming inmate, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Wyoming State Penitentiary in Rawlins, Wyoming from an alleged suicide. The incident is under investigation by the Wyoming Department of Corrections in conjunction with the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and Carbon County Coroner.

At Tuesday night’s Gillette City Council meeting, a swearing in ceremony was held for seven new Gillette Police Officers. GilletteCity Councilman Robin Kuntz said it is always an honor to help welcome in new officers.

Press Release - A fatal crash north of Chugwater, Wyoming has resulted in the death of 25 year old Casper, Wyoming resident Michael L. Cooper. The crash occurred at 12:35 p.m. on February 1st near mile post 65 on Interstate 25 southbound approximately 11 miles north of Chugwater.
Cooper was driving a 1995 GMC Sonoma pickup truck southbound on I-25 in snow and ice covered road
