Sheridan College sophomore basketball player Tiana Hanson has verbally committed to play for Montana State University-Billings next season. Hanson, a native of Shepherd, Montana, about 20 miles from Billings, will have two years of eligibility with the MSU-B Yellowjackets, a NCAA Division II school competing in the 11-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference. A fire broke out in a dishwasher 1 to 2 miles south of the Worland city limits at the residence of 1291 Airport Road on Wednesday night, January 21. According to Worland Fire Chief Chris Kocher, he and his crew were paged to the scene sometime after 9pm. The Worland City Council was in regular session on Tuesday night, January 20 in the City Hall Chambers. The Council agreed to hire on local contractors to help City employees with snow and ice removal and with other emergency management projects. Mayor Dave Duffy said that using local contractors for a short period of time will benefit the city down the road from experiencing these issues
