Captain Len DeClercq retired September 1st from the Wyoming Highway Patrol after serving with the Patrol since May of 1984. Captain DeClercq grew up in San Diego, California and earned his Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Wyoming in 1982 and received his Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming in 1994.

Trooper Dave Chatfield and his new K-9 partner "Robbie" recently began working together to help in the Patrol's efforts in criminal interdiction. Robbie is a Springer Spaniel who originally came from Ireland before receiving his initial training with the company "Battle Born K9" in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trooper Chatfield and Robbie have been training together since July 21st

Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a theft that occurred in a storage lot located at 507 Commercial Dr. between the dates of 08-01-14 and 08-24-14. During this time frame unknown suspect(s) stole a 2005 9.9 horsepower Mercury Outboard motor off of a Trophy Pro fishing boat.

Longmire fans were shocked today to hear the announcement that A&E has cancelled the series after only three seasons. The news comes as surprise given how popular the show was for the network, and its legion of fans in Wyoming and elsewhere. The show managed the network's highest viewership, holding six million viewers at one point during the second season.

Yellowstone National Park officials had initiated a search throughout the park this week for Kassandra Wieferich, a park concession employee who reportedly missed several shifts at work. She also failed to meet family members the previous afternoon as planned.

Sunday morning was a special time for Wyoming. It marked the end of a decades long attempt to bring lottery to the state, and long behold the first ticket sold was to Mary Ogg of Sheridan. In a special ceremony held at the Holiday Gas station on Brundage Lane, Ogg was able to purchase not only the first, but the second lottery ticket ever, as the new system officially launched. Death of a visitor following a fall is the second recorded in a week. Park personnel retrieved the body of a young girl from the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone after she fell to her death Sunday.
