At about 11 am on November 7th, the Gillette Police Department responded to the area of Force Road and Doud Drive. A 45-year-old woman told authorities that she found a 30-year-old man in her home as he was rummaging through her master bathroom. When confronted, the suspect allegedly held the blade of a box-cutter to his own throat, before throwing it across the room. The man then threw several other items before allegedly smashing a window with his own head.
Lieutenant Brent Wasson said the suspect fled the scene through the broken window and was later arrested as a felony destruction of property suspect, and an aggravated burglary suspect. Wasson said damage was estimated to have exceeded $1,000.
