In accordance with state law, the Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Party has called a meeting of the Precinct Committeemen and Precinct Committeewomen residing in House District 52 to be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the George Amos Memorial Building, 412 South Gillette Avenue, Gillette, Wyoming for purposes of the selection of a list of three (3) persons qualified to fill the vacancy in the office of Representative for Wyoming House District 52 caused by the death of Representative Sue Wallis. By law, that list will then be forwarded to the Wyoming Republican Party State Central Committee and then, in turn, to the Board of County Commissioners of Campbell County for appointment of one (1) of the three (3) to fill the vacancy.
Any person eligible under Art. 3, § 2 of the Wyoming Constitution to fill the vacancy and wishing to be considered for selection to the list of three (3) persons from which the appointment shall be made by the Campbell County Board of County Commissioners are asked to submit a letter requesting to be selected, along with a statement as to why he or she is seeking such appointment, a short biography and a statement of qualifications, all of which shall not exceed three (3) pages in total, to Christopher Smith, Chairman of the Campbell County Republican Party by mail to PO Box 1252, Gillette, Wyoming or by personal delivery to the Campbell County Elections Office located at the Campbell County Courthouse, 500 S. Gillette Avenue, Suite 1602, Gillette, Wyoming. These materials must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014 in order to be considered.
