Prowler Haunting Residents of Cysco Court

ccso2An apparent prowler south of Gillette has some residents on Cysco Court on edge.  Under-sheriff Scott Matheny said that a 57 year old woman came to the Campbell County Sheriff's Office Tuesday to report that during "dark hours" on October 22nd and 23rd, an unknown person has been looking into windows in the neighborhood. Matheny said the woman was awake on her couch about 11 pm on the 22nd when see noticed a man looking into her living room window.  The woman at first thought it might be her boyfriend before she realized he was in the room asleep. The woman woke her boyfriend up and believes see later saw the shadow of the prowler, this time from a different location outside the house. The couple moved to a different area in the house but reported hearing a light tapping on the front window of the house.

Matheny said the couple told a deputy that they were "too scared" to call 911, but apparently mentioned the incident later to a neighbor.  On October 23rd, a 35 year old female called authorities to report a prowler outside her home on Cysco Court.  When deputies arrived the woman's husband said he was in the process of telling his wife what he heard about the previous incident. That is when their son reportedly woke up "hysterical" saying that there was someone outside his window.

Deputies search the Cysco Court area with a K-9 unit. As of Wednesday morning no suspect was announced.
