Flight to Gillette Missing

At about 4 pm on November 26th, a 42 year old man contacted Campbell County Sheriff’s Office to report an overdue plane that was supposed to arrive in Gillette at 5 pm on the 25th. Believed to have been on board was the man’s 9 year old female child and a 34 year old female. The plane is believed to have been flown and owned by a 37 year old male. Under Sheriff Scott Matheny said they had left to go to California to visit the pilot's parents for Thanksgiving, they were on return flight when the plane was reported missing. The last contact with the plane is that it left Fillmore, Utah sometime after 12:30 pm on November 25th. 

Under Sheriff Scott Matheny said the FAA issued an overdue and missing alert on the 1982 Piper Fixed Wing plane. Mark Lenz the 9 year old's father, says the tail number is N8314E. We’ll provide you with any updates as they become available.
