Westover Road between Metz Drive and Burma Avenue (east side of Highway 50) closure

Westover Road between Metz Drive and Burma Avenue will be closed beginning Monday, January 7th for work related to the Madison Pipeline project.  The contractor will be excavating a large rock that is in the path of the new Madison Pipeline, and the closure will be in effect until the rock is removed and this section of pipeline is installed.  Traffic Control {PDF]

This closure is not related to the Westover Road water main break closure.  "Since Westover Road is closed west of Highway 50 for about 300', this particular closure of Westover Road between Metz Drive and Burma Avenue makes sense at this time - since fewer people will be using Westover Road.  Access to all businesses on Westover Road will be maintained," said Public Information Officer Joe Lunne.

This closure was originally announced December 17, 2012, but the work had to be delayed.
