The City of Gillette's Utilities Department announces two lane closures associated with the Madison Pipeline Project.
The right-hand southbound lane of 4J Road at Boxelder, and the right-hand eastbound lane of Boxelder Road at 4J Road will be closed February 5th and 6th so that Water Division crews can drain water from a section of watermain so that a contractor can perform work to the waterline. Traffic Control [PDF] Please drive accordingly.
Madison Pipeline Shutdown (Tentative Schedule) This closure also precedes a complete shutdown of the existing Madison Pipeline that is tentatively scheduled from Monday, February 11th through Monday, February 25th. This closure is necessary for the contractor to tie in the new Madison pipeline near WYODAK.
The Water Division will fill up all the in-town water tanks prior to the Madison Pipeline shutdown. This blend will keep Fluoride levels consistent with current levels, although city water customers may notice soft water towards the tail end of the pipeline shutdown. The City's Water Division anticipates a seamless transition during the shutdown.
