The preliminary investigation into the February 26th Domestic Violence incident that occurred at around 10:51 p.m. in the 900 block of East 7th Street has been completed.  The investigation revealed that a domestic dispute occurred between the 46 year old female resident and a 40 year old man who had previously lived at the residence.

 

During the dispute, the female, Lila Rose Guthmiller, retrieved a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun.  As the dispute continued, Guthmiller fired two rounds from the handgun and one of the bullets struck the 40 year old victim.  He was later treated and released for a gun shot wound to the right leg.

 

Guthmiller will be formally charged with one Felony Count of Aggravated Assault.
