Woman Life-Flighted After Alleged Assault

police badge 2At 4:46 p.m. on March 4th, the Gillette Police Department responded to an apartment on the 1500 block of West 4-J Road.  A citizen had reported two people carrying a female into an apartment.  When officers arrived to investigate, they observed visible injuries on the woman, and summoned E.M.S. 

 

A man and a woman at the apartment told investigators they had retrieved the 34 year-old victim from her apartment on the 900 block of Stanley Avenue.  Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson said while officers were there, the victim’s 26 year-old boyfriend was identified in his vehicle.  Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson said the victim was still unconscious at that time, but officers were able to hold the boyfriend on a DUI charge.

 

“The 34 year-old female was transported to the hospital.  She was later Life-Flighted to Casper with a possible skull fracture and injury to her neck.”---Wasson

Wasson said they have since spoken to the woman with the assistance of the Casper Police Department. Wasson said this morning that officers are pursuing a charge of felony aggravated assault against the 26 year-old boyfriend.
