GPD Finds Body on School Grounds

March 20th, 2013: This morning, the Gillette Police Department investigated a vehicle on the Sage Valley Junior High grounds. Just after 4:00 a.m., officers found a 19-year-old deceased male in the vehicle.

Campbell County Coroner Tom Eekoff has confirmed the death as a suicide.   Police Lieutenant Brent Wasson said the scene was processed before classes began at the school.

Authorities determined there was no safety issue or threat to the students or staff.
