The City of Gillette Engineering and Development Services Department has announced that West Boxelder Road will be closed from Granite Street to 4-J Road commencing Monday, April 1, 2013. This is a result of the Boxelder Road Extension, Phase II-B Project.
This project is to construct Boxelder Road from 4-J Road in a westward direction connecting to Burma Avenue. The project will begin with the closure of Boxelder Road on April 1, 2013. The closure will be between 4-J Road and Granite Street to remove the existing pavement. Access to the Campbell County Detention Center and Sheriff and Coroner's Offices will be maintained through the Boxelder / 4-J intersection. The construction will be performed by Mountain View Building, Inc. for $2,888,800 and includes storm drainage and utilities, road pavement, sidewalks and bikeways, street lighting and landscaping. DOWL HKM, Inc is the design engineer for the project and will be on-site during the construction. The project is scheduled to be complete at the end of August, 2013.
