City offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The City's Solid Waste Division will not pick up trash, recycling or yard waste that day, but will run a double route on Friday, July 5th and pick up Thursday and Friday's trash, recycling and yard waste that day. Please place your roll-outs at the curb by 7 a.m.
Please remember that fireworks are not permitted in City Limits.
4th of July Activities
6 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Volunteer firemen pancake feed (106 Rohan Avenue)
7 a.m. - Universal Athletics Firecracker 4 mile run/walk (Bicentennial Soccer Fields)
9 a.m. - Registration for activities at Bicentennial Park
10 a.m. - Parade (2nd Street to Osborne Avenue) Map [PDF] **Note - 4th Street from 4J Road to Richards Avenue will be closed to through traffic due to construction.**
Noon to 2 p.m. - KOOL 105.3 hosts a live band north of the concession building at Bicentennial Park.
Noon - Activities at Bicentennial Park, including a free hot dog feed, kids games (Goat Roper Field), Chalk It Up, Mud Volleyball (North side of Bicentennial Park), Firemen Water Fights Begin, Fitness Challenge (Softball Field 3).
10 p.m. - Fireworks display at Cam-Plex. Campbell County Parks & Rec will be putting on a 30 minute fireworks show - it'll be awesome!
