Gillette, WY – United Way of Campbell County begins Campaign 2013 Thursday, September 6, 2012 with our 5th Annual Peanut Butter & Diaper Drive!!
Campaign 2013 will officially ‘kick-off’ with the 5th Annual Peanut Butter & Diaper Drive to be held tomorrow, September 6th, at the FCA Country Store till 4 pm. People in the community can participate by donating peanut butter, diapers and toilet paper to the drive. These items are very much needed by those folks in our community who have fallen on hard times, but are rarely donated.
United Way invites the entire community to give in whatever manner is possible for each individual person - and an event such as this allows people to do just that. A person can bring in a jar of peanut butter, a package of diapers, a package of toilet paper, or all three items, or make a financial contribution as well.
The mission of UWCC is to promote philanthropy and enable local people to help local people; a mission that the Board members and staff of UWCC take very seriously. After exceeding the 2012 goal of $500,000 by raising over $550,000 an all-time fundraising high for the community, UWCC will aim to raise $575,000 for 2013. The United Way Board is confident that this generous and privileged community can come together to raise the money needed to meet this goal and the needs of people in our community.
To support United Way of Campbell County, participate in the kickoff event, make a financial donation, encourage your employer to initiate a workplace giving campaign that would enable employees to give through pay-roll deduction…or all of the above - contact Roxann at 686-0902
