Imagine the frustration of returning from a hard days work to find your vehicle up on blocks. Campbell County Undersheriff Scott Matheny provided details Wednesday on a case they are investigating.
“A thirty six year old Gillette man reported that a person or persons removed the drivers side tires and rims from a 1998 Pontiac passenger car while it was parked at the mine parking lot behind the South Shell Station.”
Matheny said the victim reported he dropped the vehicle off on Monday and returned to find it up on blocks.
“He dropped it off on Monday, July 29th in the mine parking lot at about 6:20 p.m. and then when he returned the next morning about 7:20 he found that someone had removed the tires and the rims from the vehicle.”
The Gillette Police Department took a similar report earlier this week on the 3200 block of Echeta Road.
